
The Dalhousie Film Society (DFS) is entering its most ambitious semester yet, with 72 members and 9 original short films in production, this year marks a new milestone for student filmmaking at Dalhousie University.
Led by a passionate and creative executive team, DFS continues to foster a collaborative space where students from all programs come together to learn, create, and celebrate the art of cinema.

This year’s leadership brings together students from Cinema & Media Studies, Commerce, Management, and Psychology Programs each contributing a unique perspective to the society’s creative and logistical efforts.

Together, this team has worked tirelessly to expand DFS’s reach across campus, develop new student projects, and create professional-level opportunities for filmmakers, writers, and creatives of all experience levels.

With more members, more films, and an ever-growing creative community, the Dalhousie Film Society’s team continuous to put hours into creating posts, scripts for events, contacting venues, attending filming times and mentoring students.
